MetView is a collection of web-based graphical and textural products. A Java-compliant browser connected to a TCP/IP network allows a MetView client user to access real-time aviation weather information. The MetView user can review the results of an intelligent, directed avaiation weather search. The MetView server can create a 3D fly-through, created in real-time, that incorporate digital elevation data, real-time satellite and radar imagery, and forecasted GRIB data. The MetView server can run on a SGI O2. The MetView weather sorkstation incorporates several meterological products onto one SGI O2.
